Although it was stated that we will be migrating to firebase in Sprint 3, we have decided to scrap that idea as we did not have time to learn firebase and how it functions. Due to the tight schedule, we decided to return to Flask SQLalchemy which was the original database. However, I also added several changes in the database in Sprint 3 for new features.
In the Final Sprint, we have to add admin functions, feedback form, API calls to cloud-based AI that my teammate created and a section of pages for food reviews. For me, I am in charge of the admin functions and adding API calls into the functions. This requires me to add on attributes to the database and have validations in both front-end and back-end for the admin functions such as ban, unban and delete.
Since there was a lot to do for everyone, we had to work till the very last moment up until an hour before presentation in order for everything to work.
Even though it was rush, but creating this website had been fun and it gave me a sense of accomplishment when we completed it. I am thankful for my team members who did not mind my mistakes and encouraged me to go on. I am also thankful that they will guide me when I am lost and did not know what to do.
All in all, this was a fun and great experience to have a great team working on the same project together.
